ENTRY AD FILM/ SHORT FILM – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Registrations for Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival 2018 are solely online. Team member who registers the team will be regarded as Team Leader. It will require filling up details of Team Leader and other members. While filling the Team Leader details is mandatory,

  1. One entrant can send min one or max two entries.
  2. Ad film and Short film should be submitted before deadline. Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea fest 2018 is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, postage due, stolen, and hence entries not received.
  3. Entries must be MPEG; MOV- DV/PAL format. We won’t be responsible if film is not screened due to problem of the DVD.
  4. Total length of the Ad film/running time should be max 45 sec and for short film 10 mins in length.
  5. The film can be made using live shot on characters/2D/3D animation/drawings/with or without or using only typographical message.
  6. The film can be in English/Hindi or any other Indian language. All non-English/non Hindi films should have English sub-titles for festival presentation.
  7. Two DVD’s are to be submitted along with the entry. Each Preview DVD should be labeled with the category no. and type, date of posting, name of the entrant, contact email and phone number, title of the ad film [description of the film], running-time in sec.
  8. Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival 2018 will send the entrant the receipt/acknowledgement for the official entry of the ad-film for festival by email.
  9. Courier/mailing costs of DVDs, from the entrant to the festival office are to be paid by the applicant.
  10. DVDs submitted for selection will be considered as final and no changes will be entertained after submission. It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to submit DVDs without any physical/quality defects.
  11. Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival 2018 has right to use and publish the selected ad film for festival and respective social cause promotional purposes and to retain DVD copies of each ad film as part of our festival library.
  12. Film once selected & submitted for final screening will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances until festival is over.
  13. Entry Forms with incorrect/inadequate/illegible/ambiguous particulars will not be considered.
  14. The competition is open for professionals as well as students.
  15. The selected film will be screened at the festival.

SELECTION & LEGAL IMPLICATIONS

  1.  Films that are submitted must be the entrant’s original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties.
  2. Contestants agree that they have obtained all required permissions regarding music, sound and/or images presented in your ad film. By entering the festival, the entrant agrees that the Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival 2018 will not be held liable for any copyright infringements perpetrated by you or your short film.
  3. The entrants may also run the risk of being prosecuted as per the Indian Criminal Procedure Code and the Indian Media Law for any offence or infringement. Racial, religious and regional and personal discrimination shall not be portrayed in any part of the film being submitted.
  4. Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival 2018 organizing, selection committee members, juries are not allowed to participate in respective festival as a contestant.
  5. Entrants will retain all ownership rights to their films submitted.
  6. Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival 2018 judges’ panel reserves the right to pre-qualify and select the entry hence the right to select/refuse the entry for judging. Only qualified entries will be judged. No communication will be entertained on any queries regarding selection/judging.
  7. Winners are selected by a judging panel of ad industry & professionals of industry consisting of independent Creative Directors, Professional Ad film makers, and other ad industry professionals.
  8. All films are judged equally based on:
    Content Originality (Quality of storyline, and script)
    Production (Camera work, lighting, and shot composition)
    Post-Production (Editing, transitions, pace, continuity, and flow)
    Image quality (Focus, clarity, colour, and lighting]
    Sound Quality
  9. The decision of selection committee is final. Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival 2018 selection committee will use its best efforts to choose finalist & announce the selected films, winners at the designated time.
  10. Selection of films for Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival 2018 will be done by a committee whose decision will be final. However, festival authorities reserve the right to accept or reject any film that is likely to offend sentiments, feelings or sensibilities of any caste, community, religion and sector is likely to promote racism or ill will in the society.
  11. Entrant agrees to be bound by all terms of these official festival rules and regulations as established herein. The Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival 2018 reserves the right to extend the festival deadline for any unforeseen reasons if needed. Entry constitutes permission to use winner’s name, likeness, and voice for future advertising and publicity purposes.
  12. By entering the Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival 2018 entrants agree to accept and be bound by the decisions of the festival and its judges which are final and binding in all matters.

ENTRY PRINT AD-TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. One entrant can send minimum one or maximum two entries.
  2. Print ad entry/s should be submitted before deadline. Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival 2018 is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, stolen entries, and hence not received.
  3. For sending entries online registration must be done. On this form the scanned copy of bank deposit slip of entry fee must be attached in case of professionals. Along with this the entry is to be sent by email along with entrants details stating the category no and type, date of posting, name of the entrant, contact email and phone number, title of the print ad [description of the ad] and reg. no.[ Originally entries must be by in size 12 x 18 inches vertical/horizontal layout.
  4. The print ad can be made using photography/illustration/ or only typographical message.
  5. The print ad can be in ENGLISH/HINDI OR ANY INDIAN language. All non-English/non Hindi should have English sub-titles for festival presentation.
  6. Print ad submitted for selection will be considered as final and no changes will be entertained after submission. It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to submit the print ad without any physical/quality defects.
  7. Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival 2018 has right to use and publish the selected print ad for festival and respective social cause promotional purposes and to copy/s of each as a part of the festival library.

Entry constitutes permission to use winner’s entry and name for future advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation.
  11. By entering the Doodle- Indian Social Art and Idea festival entrants agree to accept and be bound by the decisions of the festival and its judges which are final and binding in all matters.

ENTRY PHOTOGRAPHY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The contests is open for online submissions only, through the contest website page available.
    2. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
    3. Photos submitted must be at least 640 pixels on the shorter side, and no more than 2000 pixels on the longer side. Images should be no larger than 2MB. Photos must be in JPEG format.
    4. The same photo can be submitted for more than one contest. Photos that have won previous awards, including Better Photography’s prior contests, may be submitted again, unless otherwise mentioned in the contest specific rules.
    5. All subm1itted photos must contain the original EXIF metadata information. However there must be no border(s), logo(s), copyright marks, identifying marks, or any other visible references and/or marks on the image.
    6. Basic editing, including colour enhancement, the use of filters, and cropping of the Photo(s) is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the Photo(s).
    7. Advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions and/or manipulations, and the adding and removing of significant elements within the frame is prohibited.
    8. Every image uploaded is subject to a moderation process before it becomes visible on the contest page. Better Photography reserves the right to assess and disregard any submitted photo at its discretion.
    9. Photos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including provocative nudity, violence, human rights and/or environmental violation, and/or any other contents deemed to be contrary to the law, religious, cultural & moral traditions and practices of India, are strictly prohibited and will be immediately discarded.
    10. A participant who submits any such photos may be permanently banned, subject to Better Photography’s discretion, from participating in

Guidelines for participation and sending entries.

  1. Read the terms and conditions thoroughly before participating in the categories you have chosen.
  2. Participants can register online by filling the registration form given in this website before 23rd November 2018. No other means/mode of application shall be entertained.
  3. Filling all the fields in the entry form are mandatory, else the system will not accept the entry.
  4. Participants should mention an active e-mail id in the form and entry label.
  5. In case of students, college id Xerox should be pasted on the back of the entry and/ or CD cover.
  6. For Ad film/Short film the entry should be sent in the form of two DVDS per entry.
